„The most beautiful thing a person can leave behind, is a smile on the face of those who think on him.“
With the dead of a loved one, you never lose anything, but the time spent together.
It is with great sadness that we must announce that our beloved brother, co-founder and
namesake of our choir passed away on August 15, 2024.
Completely unexpectedly, James Wilson passed away peacefully forever.
The news has left us deeply saddened, but we still fondly remember his spiritual and musical leadership. During his time as a US Soldier in the 80’s, a deep friendship developed between Jimmy Brooks-Potratz and James Wilson. They became Brothers in Christ. James became a member of our family, the co-founder of our choir. A covenant for life, which did not change despite the US Soldiers being sent home to the USA. James regularly returned to his beloved Germany to accompany the choir on its tours.
James was our spirituel mentor: „ Gospel must sound from the heart “, was his motto for us.
This love for us, his radiant laughter, his unshakable faith has left deep impressions and memories in us.
And there are always traces of your life, James, thoughts, images and deep insights. They will remind us of you, make us happy and sad and never let us forget you.
„I’ll fly away, oh Glory. I’ll fly away.
One fine day , Hallelujah I will die.
I’’ fly away…..“
